The Political Chessboard: Modi’s Report Card vs TMC’s Rate Card

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, during a public meeting in Jhargram, West Bengal, drew a sharp contrast between his government and the Trinamool Congress (TMC) government in Bengal. He referred to his government as the “report card government” and the TMC’s as the “rate card government.”

Prime Minister Modi stated, “On one hand, there is Modi’s report card government at the Centre, on the other hand, there is TMC’s rate card government in Bengal.” He alleged that the TMC has a rate card for every job in Bengal, suggesting that corruption is rampant under its rule. “Pay money… get a job!” he said, summarizing the alleged state of affairs in Bengal.

The Prime Minister also made a bold prediction about the INDI Alliance, stating that it is being badly defeated in the ongoing elections. He went on to say, “It will get ‘eliminated’ on June 4. The countdown for the disintegration of the INDI Alliance has begun!”

These comments come amidst the heated political environment created by the ongoing elections. The Prime Minister’s remarks are likely to stir the political pot further.

As the nation anticipates the election results, the citizens of Bengal are left to reflect on the Prime Minister’s words and the implications of the “rate card” government. Whether the TMC will respond to these allegations or choose to remain silent remains to be seen. Meanwhile, the countdown to June 4 has begun, and the future of the INDI Alliance is uncertain.
