Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi is scheduled to embark on an official visit to the Russian Federation and the Republic of Austria from July 8-10, 2024, marking significant diplomatic engagements aimed at bolstering bilateral relations and advancing mutual interests.
During his visit to Moscow on July 8-9, Prime Minister Modi will participate in the 22nd India-Russia Annual Summit, hosted at the invitation of President Vladimir Putin. The summit is set to encompass a comprehensive review of the multifaceted ties between India and Russia, spanning strategic, economic, and cultural dimensions. The leaders will also exchange views on contemporary regional and global issues of mutual interest, underscoring the strategic partnership between the two countries.
Following his engagements in Russia, Prime Minister Modi will travel to Austria from July 9-10. This historic visit marks the first by an Indian Prime Minister to Austria in 41 years. In Vienna, Prime Minister Modi will meet with President Alexander Van der Bellen and hold discussions with Chancellor Karl Nehammer. The agenda includes addressing business leaders from India and Austria, aimed at fostering stronger economic ties and exploring avenues for cooperation in various sectors.
Prime Minister Modi will also engage with the vibrant Indian diaspora during his visits to Moscow and Vienna, reinforcing the strong cultural and people-to-people ties between India and these nations.
