Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in a public rally in South Goa, levelled serious charges against the Congress party. He accused them of indulging in votebank appeasement and intending to implement religion-based reservation.
“The Congress is involved in a dangerous game for the votebank appeasement. It wants to give a reservation based on religion,” PM Modi declared, suggesting that the Congress party is resorting to divisive politics to win votes.
The Prime Minister also shed light on the foreign tours of the Congress’ ‘Shehzada’, a term he uses to refer to Rahul Gandhi. He claimed that these tours have now been demystified. “He has brought an X-ray machine from there,” PM Modi said, adding a layer of sarcasm to his speech.
PM Modi further alleged that the Congress party has plans to conduct an ‘X-ray’ of the country if they come to power. “They will examine your wealth and distribute it amongst their vote bank,” he cautioned the public, implying that the Congress party’s policies are aimed at wealth redistribution.
PM Modi concluded his address with a stinging critique of the Congress party, saying, “‘Congress ki Loot, Zindagi ke sath bhi, Zindagi ke baad bhi’”. This phrase, translating to “Congress’ loot, during life and even after life”, is a pointed jab at the alleged corruption within the party.
As Goa is gearing up for the upcoming elections, PM Modi’s rally and his remarks are expected to sway the political landscape and the sentiments of the voters in the state.
