Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while addressing a public rally in Munger, Bihar, raised concerns over the Congress party’s proposed Inheritance Tax. He warned that the Congress party has set its sights on the property of the common people.
“The Congress now has an evil eye on your property,” Modi said. He further added that the Congress party plans to “survey the houses and land of farmers and implement Inheritance Tax.”
According to Modi, the Congress party has proposed a law that would prevent individuals from passing their land and property to their children. “Congress has come up with such a law that you will not be able to give your land and property to your children,” he stated.
The Prime Minister also claimed that the ‘Guru’ of the ‘Shehzade’, a term he often uses to refer to Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, has plans to seize more than half of the people’s property if the Congress comes to power.
“During all this discussion, the RJD is silent because they also want to be a participant in its property and enjoy it,” Modi added, pointing out the silence of the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) on the matter.
The proposed Inheritance Tax has sparked a heated debate in the political arena, with the BJP and its allies opposing the move. The Congress party, on the other hand, believes that the tax could be a significant source of revenue for the government.
The public awaits further clarification from the Congress party on the specifics of the proposed Inheritance Tax and its potential impact on the common people.
