In a recent public rally in Chikkaballapur, Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed his commitment to women empowerment and outlined his future plans.
Overcoming Challenges
Modi acknowledged the various challenges faced by women at home. Despite facing opposition from powerful entities in India and globally, he stated that he has been able to overcome these challenges, thanks to the ‘suraksha kavach’ (protective shield) provided by the people of India.
Prioritizing Women’s Safety
The Prime Minister emphasized that the safety and security of women is his top priority. He highlighted the government’s efforts in integrating 10 crore women with Self-Help Groups (SHGs) in the past decade.
The ‘Lakhpati Didi’ Initiative
Modi shed light on the ‘Lakhpati Didi’ initiative, where 1 crore women have become ‘Lakhpati Didi’, earning an annual income of more than Rs 1 lakh. He further announced his aim to expand this initiative to include 3 crore women.
As the country continues its journey towards gender equality and women empowerment, these initiatives by the Prime Minister mark a significant step in the right direction.
