New Delhi — Addressing the Rising Bharat Summit, Prime Minister Narendra Modi underscored the government’s success in breaking the cycle of violence and unrest that had gripped several regions of the country, particularly Jammu & Kashmir, the Northeast, and Naxal-affected areas.
The Prime Minister emphasized that strong governance and decisive leadership have been key in restoring peace and stability. “We have rescued our youth from the vicious cycle of violence,” he said, citing transformative changes on the ground.
In Jammu & Kashmir, PM Modi noted that peace has returned due to consistent efforts and bold decisions. Meanwhile, in Left-Wing Extremism (LWE) affected areas, he revealed that Naxalism has been reduced to under 20 districts, with over 8,000 Naxalites surrendering and rejoining the mainstream.
He also highlighted progress in the Northeast, where the government has brokered 10 peace agreements, leading to the re-integration of over 10,000 youth into the developmental fabric of the nation. These efforts, he said, are a testament to the government’s vision of inclusive growth and a peaceful, empowered India.
