PM Modi Encourages Teachers to Inspire Students to Celebrate Made-in-India Products

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, during an interaction with the National Awardee Teachers, urged educators to encourage students to actively celebrate and adopt Made-in-India products as part of their learning and lifestyle.

The Prime Minister suggested creative ways for schools to integrate this idea, such as organizing “Local Week” activities, incorporating Indian-made products into student projects, or choosing them as gifts during school events. He highlighted that these simple steps can spark curiosity among children, while instilling a strong sense of pride, responsibility, and respect for India’s artisans and craftsmen.

PM Modi noted that exposing students to the significance of indigenous goods at an early age would strengthen their understanding of how personal growth is interconnected with national progress. “This builds pride, respect for artisans, a sense of responsibility, and helps children see how their growth is linked to the nation’s progress,” he said.

The Prime Minister emphasized that teachers play a vital role not only in shaping academic excellence but also in nurturing values that contribute to the vision of ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’ (Self-Reliant India). He said educators must go beyond textbooks and encourage students to respect local traditions, culture, and innovation, preparing them to become responsible citizens and contributors to the nation’s economy.

The interaction highlighted the government’s continued focus on empowering teachers as nation-builders and making education a key driver in India’s journey towards a Viksit Bharat by 2047.
