Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while addressing a public rally in Jamnagar, Gujarat, issued a series of challenges to the Congress party, which have yet to be answered.
“It has been 9 days since I have challenged the Congress, and they haven’t given me a reply on the same,” said PM Modi, expressing his concern over the silence from the opposition party.
The Prime Minister’s first challenge was for the Congress to provide written assurance that they will not alter the Constitution to provide reservations to Muslims based on religion. This challenge comes amidst ongoing debates about the role of religion in reservation policies.
His second challenge was for the Congress to guarantee in writing that they will not compromise the rights of the Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), and Other Backward Classes (OBC) by reallocating their share of the reservation to Muslims.
Lastly, PM Modi challenged the Congress to provide written assurance that their state governments and leaders will not run a hidden agenda to provide reservations to Muslims.
“Their silence means something is fishy,” PM Modi concluded, suggesting that the lack of response from the Congress may indicate a hidden agenda.
The Congress party has yet to respond to these challenges. The nation now waits for their reply, which could have significant implications for the country’s reservation policies and constitutional integrity.
