Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in a recent public address, voiced his concerns over the Congress party’s avoidance of the Ram Temple issue in Ayodhya. He stated that the Congress has issued an advisory to all its units, instructing them to remain silent on the topic.
PM Modi said, “Unko lagne laga hai ki agar Ram ka naam liya pata nahi kab Ram-Ram ho jaye,” suggesting that the Congress party is hesitant to engage in discussions on the Ram Temple issue.
The Ram Temple in Ayodhya has been a significant issue in Indian politics for many years. The site, believed by many to be the birthplace of Lord Ram, has been a central point for several political parties, including the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), which is led by PM Modi.
PM Modi’s comments come at a time when the construction of the Ram Temple is progressing, following a landmark judgment by the Supreme Court of India in November 2019. The court ruled in favor of building a temple at the disputed site and also ordered the allocation of a suitable plot of land for the construction of a mosque.
The Congress party has yet to respond to PM Modi’s comments. Their silence on the issue, as pointed out by PM Modi, has led to questions about their position on the Ram Temple issue.
As the conversation around the Ram Temple continues to develop, it will be interesting to see how the Congress party responds to PM Modi’s comments and the impact it will have on the political dynamics in the country.
