Prime Minister Narendra Modi, addressing a public rally in Sagar, launched a scathing attack on the Congress party for its proposal to introduce an Inheritance Tax, alleging that it poses a grave threat to Indian families and their legacies.
In a fervent speech, PM Modi asserted, “Once again, the Congress has exposed its true intentions. Their hidden agenda has been unmasked. Congress is advocating for an Inheritance Tax… They intend to levy taxes on inheritances passed down from parents.”
Modi expressed deep concern that such a tax would strip away a significant portion of the property accumulated through the hard work of individuals, intended to secure the future of their children. He accused the Congress of disregarding the cherished values of Indian families and aiming to exploit individuals’ wealth during and after their lifetimes.
“The Congress mantra seems to be ‘Congress ki loot, zindage ke sath bhi loot aur zindagi ke baad bhi loot…'” the Prime Minister declared, condemning the proposed tax as an assault on Indian families.
The proposed Inheritance Tax has sparked heated debates, with critics arguing that it undermines the traditional practice of passing down wealth through generations. Supporters, however, suggest that it could address wealth inequality in the nation.
PM Modi’s remarks come amidst escalating political tensions ahead of upcoming elections, with economic policies emerging as a central point of contention between the ruling party and the opposition.
As political rhetoric intensifies, the proposed Inheritance Tax is poised to remain a divisive issue, shaping discussions on economic policies and their implications for Indian families and society.
