New Delhi – Prime Minister Narendra Modi today assumed office for the third time, following a grand swearing-in ceremony held in the capital city.
After taking the oath of office and secrecy at the Rashtrapati Bhavan, PM Modi signed his first file, marking the commencement of his third term. The file authorised the release of the 17th instalment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) scheme.
The PM-KISAN scheme, a central government initiative, provides income support to all landholding farmer families across the country. The scheme aims to supplement the financial needs of the farmers in procuring various inputs related to agriculture and allied activities.
The release of this instalment will benefit approximately 9.3 crore farmers across the nation, with a total disbursement of around Rs 20,000 crores. This move underscores the government’s commitment to the welfare of the farmers and the agricultural sector.
Prime Minister Modi’s decision to prioritise the PM-KISAN scheme as his first action in office sends a strong message about the importance his government places on the agricultural sector and the nation’s farmers.
As PM Modi embarks on his third term, the nation looks forward to more such initiatives aimed at uplifting various sectors and contributing to the overall development of the country.
