Leh, Ladakh: Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh, Kavinder Gupta, celebrated Diwali with the Army personnel of the Fire & Fury Corps at the Rinchen Auditorium in Leh, marking the festival of lights with gratitude and honor for the armed forces.
During the event, Gupta lauded the bravery and dedication of the jawans who guard India’s borders under extreme climatic and geographical conditions. He paid homage to the martyrs of Kargil and Siachen, recognizing their sacrifice in safeguarding the nation.
The Lt. Governor emphasized the Central and Union Territory governments’ unwavering commitment to the welfare of the armed forces. “We salute the courage and commitment of our soldiers who ensure the safety and security of the nation. The Government of India and the UT administration remain dedicated to their welfare and well-being,” he said.
Gupta interacted with the jawans, extended Diwali greetings, and encouraged them to continue their exemplary service with pride and dedication. The celebration also included cultural performances and a festive atmosphere, reflecting the spirit of the festival while honoring those who protect the nation.
