PM Modi Hails Uttarakhand’s Progress as State Marks 25 Years, Praises Dhami Government’s Fearless Governance

Dehradun, Uttarakhand: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday addressed the people of Uttarakhand as the state celebrated 25 years of its formation, lauding the steady progress it has made under the leadership of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami.

Congratulating the people of the state, PM Modi said that Uttarakhand has emerged as a model of resilience and development despite the challenges posed by its geography. He praised the Dhami government for its firm, fearless, and decisive governance, saying it has “overcome every obstacle to keep Uttarakhand’s development on track.”

Highlighting key governance achievements, the Prime Minister commended the state for implementing the Samaan Nagarik Sanhita (Uniform Civil Code) — becoming the first in the country to do so. He also lauded the government’s initiatives to bring strong laws against unlawful conversions and riots, as well as decisive action on land encroachment, calling these measures essential to maintaining social harmony and law and order.

PM Modi further appreciated the Dhami government’s efficient and compassionate response to natural disasters, noting that its disaster management efforts reflect both administrative capability and human sensitivity.

He reiterated his vision of a ‘Viksit Uttarakhand’, aligned with the goal of a ‘Viksit Bharat’, urging the people to continue supporting good governance and sustainable development.
