Prime Minister Narendra Modi, addressing the Rashtriya Ekta Diwas (National Unity Day) programme, underscored the enduring strength of India’s unity, rooted in four key pillars — cultural harmony, linguistic pride, equality in development, and connectivity that connects hearts.
The Prime Minister explained that these pillars form the foundation of India’s resilience and togetherness, driving the vision of Viksit Bharat (Developed India). “Our unity rests on these four strong foundations — cultural harmony, linguistic pride, equality in development, and connectivity that connects hearts,” PM Modi said.
He noted that as ancient traditions merge with modern infrastructure, India is transforming into a nation that balances heritage with progress. “These foundations are turning the dream of Viksit Bharat into reality,” he added, highlighting the government’s ongoing efforts to ensure inclusive development and national integration.
Urging citizens to actively uphold these values, PM Modi called on every Indian to contribute toward strengthening the nation’s unity and integrity. He emphasized that the true tribute to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel — the architect of India’s unification — lies in preserving and promoting the spirit of Ek Bharat Shreshth Bharat.
The Rashtriya Ekta Diwas programme witnessed nationwide participation, with citizens taking part in Run for Unity events, cultural programmes, and awareness drives celebrating India’s strength in diversity.
