PM Modi Raises Alarm Over Security of Jagannath Temple’s ‘Ratnbhandar’

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in a recent public meeting in Kandhamal, Odisha, has drawn attention to the security of the ‘Ratnbhandar’ of the esteemed Jagannath temple. The key to this treasury has been reportedly missing for the past six years, leading to concerns about the safety of the temple’s invaluable treasures.

“The key was lost, who found it? Does he keep opening and closing it?” the Prime Minister questioned, indicating potential security lapses at the temple.

In an unexpected development, the state government announced the discovery of a duplicate key. This revelation, however, has raised more questions. “Now the question is why this duplicate key was made?” PM Modi asked, suggesting possible mismanagement.

The existence of a duplicate key is a matter of grave concern, even more so than the loss of the original key. It raises doubts about the management of the temple and the security of the ‘Ratnbhandar’.

The Prime Minister called on the state government to take immediate action to address these issues and ensure the safety of the temple’s treasury.

The Jagannath temple, a significant Hindu pilgrimage site, attracts millions of devotees each year. The ‘Ratnbhandar’ is believed to house invaluable treasures and artifacts, making its security a high priority.

This incident has sparked a nationwide debate on the administration of religious institutions and the need for transparency and accountability in their operations. As the investigation into the matter continues, the devotees of Lord Jagannath are eagerly waiting for answers.
