PM Modi’s Comments on Ram Temple Ignite Discussions at Nandurbar Rally

Date:

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, at a public rally in Nandurbar, Maharashtra, voiced his criticism of the opposition’s approach towards the Ram temple, accusing them of terming it as “anti-national.”

During his address, PM Modi highlighted the opposition’s viewpoint, stating, “See the mindset of Congress. In the country of Ram, they are calling the Ram temple, anti-national.” He further lambasted the opposition for their actions, remarking, “Those people who organise ‘sarkari iftari’, beautify the graves of terrorists for appeasement are calling our lord Ram, his temple and us, who go to Ram temple, as anti-national…”

The Prime Minister’s comments come against the backdrop of the ongoing discussions surrounding the construction of the Ram temple. The temple, a symbol of faith for many in India, has been a subject of political controversy.

PM Modi’s remarks were aimed at the opposition parties, particularly the Congress, accusing them of exploiting the issue for political advantage. He criticized them for their alleged ‘sarkari iftari’ and for beautifying the graves of terrorists, suggesting that these actions were undertaken for appeasement.

The Prime Minister’s comments have ignited a fresh wave of discourse on the issue, with reactions coming in from various sectors. While his supporters have commended his stance, critics argue that such statements contribute to further societal divisions.

As the political dynamics continue to unfold, the discourse surrounding the Ram temple and its impact on national identity continues to be a focal point of public discussion.
